The ABC Unified School District and the ABC Adult School, in collaboration with the ABC Council PTA, will host the 15th Annual Parent Leadership Conference on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Sheraton Hotel in Cerritos from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. This award winning conference has more than 350 parent participants from ABC Unified Schools in the Cerritos, Artesia, Hawaiian Gardens and Lakewood areas.
The theme is “Bridges to Empowerment; Parents – Schools - Community” and the keynote speaker is Deputy Superintendent, Dr. Mary Seiu, of the ABC Unified School District. The main subject of her address will be how the Parent Leadership Conference has empowered parents for the last 15 years to support their students as they grow to become leaders within the schools and community. The day’s activities will open with a special message from Dr. Gary Smuts, Superintendent of the ABC Unified School District, Dr. Pao-Ling Guo, Principal of ABC Adult School and Mrs. Cynthia Corrales, President of the ABC Council PTA.
