More than 250 Filipino International Seniors Club of Southern California members and guests attended the Coronation of Ms. USA 2011 and her Court Feb. 13 at the Cerritos Senior Center.President Minda Pleta welcomed and acknowledged guests including Cerritos Mayor Joseph Cho who crowned Ms. USA 2011 Leonor Almanza. “I want to thank all of you for coming to honor our Ms. USA,” said Pleta. “We plan a very special evening of dancing and entertainment before we crown Ms. USA and her Court, and we thank Mayor Joseph Cho for assisting us in our program.”
Ms. California Julie Ungos and Ms. International Lily Ungos were also recognized for their dedication and support to the Club. It was founded in 1992 to promote Filipino music, customs and traditions.
