The Cerritos Chinese-American Senior Citizen Association celebrated
the traditional Dragon Float Festival and Mothers Day Celebration
Luncheon Jun. 19 at the Cerritos Senior Center where 14 mothers were
recognized with Certificates of Recognition by Cerritos Mayor Pro-Tem
Laura Lee in front of 200 guests including ABC School Boardmembers
Sophia Tse and James Kang, Cerritos College Boardmember Dr. Shin Liu
and Cerritos Planning Commissioner Cindy Yen Chen. The day was
filled with fun-filled activities that included a buffet lunch,
Chinese Kung Fu demonstrations, traditional folk dancing and singing,
a Mahjong contest and ballroom dancing.
