Second Sundays at Rancho Los Alamitos Historic Ranch and Gardens Freshly Baked Cookies and Iced Tea

LONG BEACH, CA – Beginning Sunday, July 11, 2010, and on the second Sunday of subsequent months through October, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., guests will be tempted by the aroma of cookies baking in the Ranch oven. Visitors to Rancho Los Alamitos Historic Ranch and Gardens are invited to relax on the back patio of the ranch house with freshly baked cookies and iced tea after touring the gardens and ranch house. This “Second Sunday” treat is made possible by the Volunteer Service Council at Rancho Los Alamitos.

Rancho Los Alamitos is owned by the City of Long Beach and operated by Rancho Los Alamitos Foundation as a public/private cooperative venture under the auspices of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine. The site is open for tours Wednesday through Sunday from 1-5 p.m. School tours and Native American Children’s Cultural Workshops are scheduled weekday mornings. Admission is free and parking is normally available on site. Enter though Bixby Hill residential security gate at Anaheim and Palo Verde.
