Community Family Guidance Center’s (CFGC) Foundation will host its 20th Annual Golf Classic at Rio Hondo Golf Club located at 10627 Old River School Road in Downey Aug. 30. The day will begin with registration at 10a.m. followed by a shotgun start at noon.. Following the golf tournament, there will be a 5:30p.m. cocktail hour and a 6:00p.m. awards dinner.
In the light of recent budget cutbacks, CFGC relies heavily on private contributions, such as proceeds from the annual tournament, to fund important mental health and community outreach services. These specialized services include, but are not limited to, child abuse prevention and treatment services, a Teen Parent Program, and intensive services for children at risk due to severe emotional and behavioral problems. Through supporting the Community Family Guidance Center Foundation’s Annual Golf Classic, you are significantly changing the lives of at-risk, low income, and under-served children in your community.
Getting involved in the Annual Golf Classic is easy; various levels of sponsorship are available. For $150, golfers receive a cart, lunch and dinner, as well as a goodie bag and raffle tickets. A Corporate Sponsorship at $1000 purchases two foursomes, and four tee-signs and a banner which will be displayed on the course in recognition of your support.
