Chinese dragons visited the Hawaiian Gardens Casino Feb 4 in celebration of the Chinese New Year. Performing were the Quang Trung Lion Dance Troupe. Four dragons romped through the casino gaming room with low sounding firecrackers going off during the dragon performance. Red colored envelopes decorated in gold with money inside them were fed into the mouth of the dragons symbolizing goof fortune in the new year. The dragon is a symbol of strength, goodness, and good luck, and supernatural forces and is a mythical combination of many animals
